Hello Bar Alternative
Hello Bar is awesome! However, as a designer, I find it to be a bit too limiting for my (and my client’s) needs. Many of my clients come to me and say, “I want THAT (‘that’ meaning “Hello Bar”)! What they also say is that I want ‘THAT’ to do x,y, & z. For those of you that have played around with ‘THAT’…you know that Hello Bar doesn’t give full control of the plugin for the more advanced user. As a result, I have searched many billable hours for the best Hello Bar Alternative!
Below is my list of favorites. If you know one that you feel is better (or worth a mention), PLEASE let me know. I would love to add to my list.
FooBar is a neat and unobtrusive notification bar that sits at the top of the page that can be used to inform or announce specific info to site visitors. The collapsible bar can be used in unlimited scenarios, including displaying notifications, showing site announcements, product specials, competitions, giveaways, etc. Anything you can think of, really.

Sticky Header is the top navigation bar that remains at the top of the page even when a user scrolls the page. This makes navigating to other parts of the site easy.
The main functionality of the Sticky Header is controlled by the CSS , javascript is used to show or hide the header. That means that if javascript is disabled, it will work fine in all browsers.
It also uses some CSS3 features like rounded corners or text shadow, and those effects won’t apply on older browsers , but this doesn’t affect the functionality.
The Realtime Announcer is a php system that can be used inside your website to give you the ability to post news,notifications or announcements to your users But this time you can do that in RealTime!, which means that while the user is browsing your pages he can get the upto date news without having to reload the page.
uAnnounce is a Premium Announcement plugin for WordPress. The announcements are thin colored stripes that contain a message and appear at the top of the page. uAnnounce allows you to schedule announcements to appear on your blog, you can use this to draw your visitors’ attention to an important message you may have.
